Brazil's star forward Neymar is poised to return for the team's final World Cup group match against Scotland

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has said Neymar is on track to return for the team's final FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Scotland on Wednesday in Miami Gardens.The Brazil forward has missed the team's first two matches of the tournament, including the 3-0 win over Haiti on Saturday, as he continues to recover from a right calf injury.

Providing an update on Neymar's fitness on Friday, Ancelotti said the striker will continue his recovery over the next few days before returning to full training with the squad.According to the coach, Neymar will complete an individual training session on Saturday and is expected to join full team training on Monday. Ancelotti added that the forward "will be available" for Brazil's final Group C match against Scotland.

"Neymar will be training tomorrow alone, and on Monday with the team. He will be available for the match against Scotland," Ancelotti said.Neymar remains Brazil's all-time leading scorer, with 79 goals in 129 international appearances. His return would give Brazil another experienced option as they look to build momentum heading into the knockout stages.The 34-year-old has not yet taken part in full team training since joining the World Cup squad.

He has been recovering from the calf injury he suffered while playing for Santos FC on May 17. Medical tests carried out last Monday were aimed at assessing his recovery and determining when he could return to action.Neymar's selection in Brazil's World Cup squad had sparked debate in the country.
