Woman assaults youth after altercation on road

Indore: A woman allegedly assaulted an intoxicated youth in the middle of a busy road in MIG area late on Tuesday after he and his friend allegedly brushed their motorcycle against her and abused her.

The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, prompted police to initiate preventive action against the two, though no formal complaint has been lodged by either side.The incident occurred near Aastha Talkies. Police said the duo, both identified as Sachin and residents of Rewa who work at a cement factory in Manawar, had come to Indore earlier in the day. They were allegedly under influence of alcohol and began abusing the woman following the minor collision.Enraged by the alleged misconduct, the woman confronted the youth and repeatedly slapped and kicked one of them on the road. The viral video shows the youth pleading for forgiveness as a crowd gathered around the spot. Several bystanders filmed the incident and circulated the clips on social media.MIG police station in charge CB Singh said that neither side has submitted a formal complaint so far. After verifying the incident, police initiated preventive action against both youth. Officials said the viral video was also being examined.
