Woman dies in wall collapse in Belagavi district

A 34-year-old woman died when a wall of a house collapsed on her in Hosur village of Belagavi district on Tuesday night.

Parveen Bepari suffered a head injury and died on the spot.

She and her husband Shareef Ahmed rushed to take shelter under an old house after it began raining heavily.

But then, the wall collapsed and she was caught under the rubble.

Shareef managed to run to safety.

The couple hailing from Vantamuri were going around villages selling chicken on their bike.

A case has been registered in Kakati Police Station.
