A 32-year-old woman named Usha Bai was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Rajasthan’s Alwar. Following the death, the victim’s family alleged that Usha’s husband, along with his family members, first killed her by electrocution and then dumped her into the well.

As per the claims of the deceased family members, Usha shared a long history of domestic violence at her in-laws' house. The woman got married in 2009 to Ranjeet, a resident of Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district. From the very beginning of their marriage, Usha was subjected to severe physical and mental harassment. The family members claimed that the in-laws used to torture her regularly.

The family has filed a murder case at the local police station. Based on the complaint and considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have already started investigating the case. They also sent the body for a post-mortem.

The victim is survived by three children. The death has created a public stir in the locality, and the people have sought justice.

Talking to the press, senior police officer Hitesh Sharma said that he had spoken with the family members of the victim, and the police would be able to tell whether it was a murder only after the post-mortem report comes out.

Accusing the husband’s family of being drunkards, the victim’s uncle, Pappu Singh, said, “The in-laws used to torture our daughter for a long time. A few days before her death, they tortured her by electrocution. She got injured, and we did not get to know what happened for a long time. When we got to know about Usha’s condition, it was already late. She was being transferred to a hospital in Jaipur; however, she died.
