A woman police constable sustained minor injuries after a motorcycle that was part of a convoy following TVK president Vijay’s car hit her in Salem on Friday (February 13, 2026).

Mr. Vijay arrived at Salem airport around 11.30 a.m. to attend a meeting of TVK functionaries in Salem. From the airport, he travelled about 17 km by car to the meeting venue at Seelanaickenpatti.

Hundreds of fans and party cadres followed his vehicle on motorcycles. Near Kamalapuram on the Salem–Bengaluru National Highway, four cadres who were riding motorcycles reportedly hit a woman constable on duty, causing her to fall on the road. She sustained minor injuries during the incident.

When Mr. Vijay’s car reached the Karuppur toll plaza, more than 500 supporters gathered on the roadside and surrounded the vehicle, leaving it stranded for about five minutes. Police later dispersed the crowd and cleared the way.

Similarly, at Kondalampatti, thousands assembled along the road and attempted to approach the vehicle. During the commotion, four women constables were pushed down by the crowd. Police managed to control the situation and allow the convoy to proceed.
