WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is set to foray into comedy by performing at a local club in the United States. Hailed as one of the greatest wrestling entertainers in professional sporting history, Foley will be entertaining the fans again, not through his heavy moves but by providing them with a dose of laughter.

In a surprise stint, Foley will be joking and having fun in front of an audience at the Royal Oak in Michigan. The legendary wrestler, renowned for some of his most intense battles inside the ring, is expected to tell the best stories from his illustrious career at the World Wrestling Entertainment.

Foley will be performing at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak on Thursday, December 18, for his “Season’s Beatings", revealing some of his favourite Christmas-inspired wrestling stories in the festive week.

In a video posted on Mark Ridley’s Facebook page, Foley confirmed the news about him performing at the comedy club. Joking about the event, the great wrestler said it will be a wrestling show but with a “little holiday flair".

“Hello, Royal Oak and everyone in the Detroit and surrounding areas. It’s the hard-core legend Mick Foley, thrilled to announce that on December 18th I return to Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle for an evening of Christmas-themed wrestling stories," said Foley in the video, urging his fans in the US to buy the tickets for the show.

“It’s a wrestling show, it just comes with a little holiday flair. You will have a nice day," he added.

Foley had a successful 11-year stint inside the ring, featuring 17 championship titles. He retired from professional wrestling in 2000.

The 60-year-old also had brief stints as a commissioner and colour commentator in WWE and was inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame in 2013.

Foley did contemplate a return to the ring, having announced he was planning a final match ahead of his 60th birthday in June. But his comeback never materialised after the decorated figure confirmed he was suffering from “dizziness" ahead of a potential bout with Jon Moxley or Matt Cardona.

Foley has since happily moved on.
