WWE NXT Match Highlights And Results: Oba Femi, Ricky Saints Lead Babyfaces To Victory In Eight-Man Tag Match

An action-packed WWE NXT in Orlando (Florida) featured top wrestlers of the brand in action in front of a huge crowd.

Top wrestlers from the WWE NXT brand were in action during a captivating night that entertained a packed audience in Florida.

Here are some of the highlights of the event, including a massive Eight-Man Tag Team Match, a clash for the Women’s Speed Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament and a Grudge match.

Eight-Man Tag Team Clash

In a rare eight-man tag team tussle, NXT champion Oba Femi, No. 1 contender Ricky Saints, former tag team champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger joined hands against DarkState’s Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin. The aggressive encounter began with Saints and Femi flexing their muscles before the Heels managed to take control of the proceedings, hammering Walker. Ledger soon entered the ring after the tap and smashed a tope suicida at Griffin and James at the ringside.

As the brawl intensified, Walker was soon seen trying to fend off James and called for an intervention from Joe Hendry, who set up the finish by allowing Babyfaces to dispatch the Darkstate and emerge victorious.

Josh Briggs Beats Andre Chase

Andre Chase and Josh Briggs took on each other in a men’s singles match that triggered out of a backstage confrontation. Briggs got an early wood over his opponent before Chase bounced back superbly. Chase seemed on his way to victory when Briggs admirably regained his ground by thwarting his attempted pinfall. In an exciting duel where fortunes shifted back and forth, Briggs ultimately came out on top following a decisive punch against Chase.

Jordynne Grace Overcomes Kali Armstrong

Jordynne Grace managed to overcome Evolve women’s champion, Kali Armstrong, in another intense battle for the WWE NXT on September 2. From the outset, Grace played aggressively and managed to dominate the early moments of the fight. Armstrong did forge a mini-comeback in the game but had to ultimately bow down to the powerful muscles of her opponent, who secured an impressive victory.

Candice LeRae Beats Xia Brookside In WWE Speed Woman’s Tournament Match

In an action-packed tussle, the first-ever WWE Speed Women’s champion, Candice LeRae, played against Xia Brookside with the chance to advance in the No.1 contender’s tournament and the opportunity to reclaim her title. From the start, LeRae played like the more-fancied wrestler of the two, unleashing multiple heavy moves on her opponent. For LeRae, a springboard moonsault tilted the scales her way and bagged her a rather comfortable win. She will now take on the winner of the following week’s encounter between Lainey Reid and AAA’s Faby Apache.

Lash Legend Beats Jaida Parker

Aiming for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship, Lash Legend and Jaida Parker faced-up against each other. Legend took her opponent head-on before Parker recovered and flexed her muscles by executing a Seattle Storm over. Legend then used her size and strength to forge a strong comeback in the game and even countered a Hipnotic from Parker while responding with a crushing backbreaker. In the dying moments, Legend came up with successive Lash Extensions to emerge victorious in front of a packed arena.
