 CM Punk battles AJ Styles in World title match, New No.1 contenders, Bron Breakker returns and more

WWE RAW aired its January 26 episode from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. The final RAW before the Royal Rumble PLE saw a dream showdown between CM Punk and AJ Styles. Other matches saw a high-stakes bout, tag team action, and the return of Bron Breakker from suspension with a stunning scene in the end.AJ Styles opened the show to discuss his upcoming match with Gunther at the Royal Rumble 2026. He made it clear that he does not plan to retire this weekend and would beat him. This led World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to come out and show appreciation for Styles. Moreover, he suggested the idea of a dream match between them for the title as they both shook hands, and it was made official.

6-woman tag team match

Judgment Day's Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez teamed up to battle Rhea Ripley, IYO Sky, and Stephanie Vaquer.

The explosive tag team showdown was a fast-paced match and saw Ripley connect with a major headbutt and Riptide on Perez to pick up the win for her team.

Rey Mysterio vs. Austin Theory

Rey Mysterio had Penta and Dragon Lee in his corner, while Austin Theory was backed by his faction, The Vision. The young upstart showed a great performance against the veteran. However, the ending saw both sides engage in a ringside brawl, leading to Theory finding a spot to hit the mayhem on the floor on Mysterio and win the match.

The Vision continued to attack their foes and stood tall after the match.

Fatal 4-Way No.1 contender's match

The match was contested between the teams of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, Otis and Akira Tozawa, Julius Creed and Brutus Creed, and Los Americanos. It was a classic display of tag team action and ended with Tozawa hitting the back senton on Julius to pick up the win. The victory made him and Otis the new No.1 contenders to the WWE World Tag Team Champions.

CM Punk vs AJ Styles

The main event was the dream match between CM Punk and AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight title. The match exceeded expectations as it totally captivated the audience, who erupted in loud cheers for the match. However, the showdown was spoiled with Finn Balor running interference.
