Young lawyer dies of cardiac arrest at court complex

Koppal: A young advocate died of a suspected cardiac arrest at the court complex in Gangavathi on Wednesday. The deceased advocate was Kanakesh, 26, a resident of Chikka Madinal village in Kanakagiri taluk.

He had recently started practising at the Gangavathi court.According to sources, Kanakesh attended the farewell programme organised for first additional district and sessions judge Sadananda Nagappa Nayak. After the lunch at the event, he came out near the canteen inside the court premises and was speaking with friends when he suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.Fellow advocates and friends immediately shifted him to a private hospital. However, he died without responding to treatment, sources said. Judges and advocates visited the hospital and paid their condolences following the incident.
