The NDA government has failed to put an end to ganja menace, alleges YSRCP MLC Botcha Satyanarayana.
“Along with ganja, drug culture has emerged in Visakhapatnam,” Mr. Satyanarayana told the media here on Saturday while referring to the recent case in which cocaine had been seized under the III Town Police Station limits in the city.
Accusing the police of giving contradictory statements in the case, he alleged that the city was now being know internationally for drugs.
Stating that the State was pushed into a chaos in the last one year, the YSRCP leader said no section of society was satisfied with the NDA administration. Farmers, in particular, were suffering a lot, he said. The government remembers farmers only when YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy raises their issues.
Mr. Satyanarayana further alleged that law & order situation deteriorated in the State and illegal trading in sand and liquor, and instances of land grabbing increased. He alleged that there was an increase in crimes against women and children.
The NDA government failed to fulfill its promises despite availing of ₹1.5 lakh crore loans. Except for pensions, not a single welfare scheme was implemented, he said.
