Kurnool police traced and recovered 669 stolen or lost mobile phones and handed them over to their owners. As part of the third phase of ’Mobile Recovery Mela’ held at the district police office on Wednesday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Patil said that the recovered phones were worth ₹1.20 crore.

The SP said that people were losing their mobile phones during journeys, at railway stations and bus stands, festivals and fairs. “The police, particularly those attached with the Cyber Lab, have done a tremendous job in recovering the mobile phones from various places of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana,” he said.

Mr. Vikrant Patil said that any individual who lost their mobile phone can lodge a complaint with the police through http://Kurnoolpolice.in/mobiletheft and provide the IMEI details for its recovery. He said that no fees would be collected from them.
