Chelsea Green at Chelsea vs Brentford match (Image via Instagram)
In a crossover event that has fans of the squared circle as well as the football pitch reasonably excited, WWE superstar Chelsea Green has officially confirmed her status as a lifelong supporter of the English Premier League club, Chelsea. While their shared name, a delightful coincidence, might seem like a reason behind this connection, Green’s love for the Blues runs much deeper, rooted in her British heritage and childhood memories.
She recently revealed that she has been a lifelong fan of the club, a passion that has been passed down through her family. On Saturday, January 17, 2026, Green made her first-ever visit to Stamford Bridge, where the Blues were facing another EPL club from London, Brentford. Dressed in blue, she watched from the Dugout Club as Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory over their opponent, with goals from Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer.
And to commemorate the special occasion, Green posed with a custom WWE x Chelsea Legacy Championship title belt, blending her professional world with her personal passion.
Chelsea Green is a Chelsea "fan for life"
Although born in Victoria, British Columbia, Chelsea Green’s mother and grandparents are British. Interestingly, her grandfather was actually an Aston Villa supporter, but the rest, especially Green herself, rooted for the Blues, leading to a friendly family rivalry.
Before her appearance at Chelsea FC's home ground in London, she sat for an interview with the club's official site, where Green revealed that she has been a Chelsea "fan for life.
"
In a heartwarming detail, she shared that during primary school, she had a "safety kit," where, apart from granola bars and family photos, her kit also contained a Chelsea FC beanie, a sign of how much the club meant to her even as a child living so far away in Canada. About visiting Stamford Bridge and witnessing the game, Green said,"I’ve been a Chelsea fan for life... I was always wearing Chelsea merchandise growing up...
This is my first live football match – and I don’t know what to expect. I think that's a beautiful thing. I’m going to have a drink, enjoy the game and try to be at one with the Chelsea supporters."Green also noted a striking similarity between the passionate crowds at Stamford Bridge and the "diehard" fans she encounters during WWE tours of the United Kingdom. She also praised the British football culture for its relentless chanting, noting that European football chants have increasingly "trickled into wrestling" arenas.
Will there be a "Chelsea x Chelsea" collaboration in future?
Fans can expect to see this partnership reflected in the ring soon. Green revealed that she had been working on a Chelsea FC-inspired ring gear set. While it wasn't ready in time for her most recent UK performances, one of which was at Wembley Stadium, she promised that she will be bringing it out soon."So, I was actually getting one made up but it just didn’t quite come in time, which was a real shame as I wanted to wear my Chelsea gear. But I will definitely be representing in the future!"Whether she’s defending the Women’s United States Championship or causing chaos on SmackDown, the "Hot Mess" of WWE will now officially be doing it with the pride of West London behind her. Also Read: Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona combined net worth in 2025: WWE careers, indie success, brand deals, and more
