Alappuzha municipality launches floating veterinary hospital

The Alappuzha municipality has launched a floating veterinary hospital on a motorboat. It was flagged off by Alappuzha municipal chairperson K.K. Jayamma recently.

The motorboat veterinary hospital service will operate in the eastern regions of the municipality and in the Kuttanad area, where road connectivity is limited, twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Services such as vaccination, treatment, and artificial insemination for livestock will be available. The hospital will function from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A senior veterinary surgeon, a livestock inspector, and an attendant have been deployed on the boat.
