Alex Warren opens up about what his album means to him

Alex Warren, while in conversation with People, opened up about his work as a singer and what it all means to him. He revealed that one of the reasons behind how hard he works on his music is that it helps keep his parents’ memories alive.Warren added, “The coolest thing that I've been able to do is keep my parents alive in some ways, whether it's the music or the shows, and never not talking about them.

Some people view that as a bad thing, but I love to keep them alive with my silly little jokes and my silly little songs.”Warren further revealed that his song ‘First Time on Earth’ from his album ‘You’ll Be Alright, Kid,’ was one of the most cathartic songs to write. He shared that the song was written about his parents, and that he “bawled my eyes out” when he was done with the song. “I think that was one of the songs where every time I listened to it on a drive by myself, I just start crying. It's something really beautiful where I never got any closure with my parents before they passed. This is a song for me to be able to kind of remind myself, but also have a conversation with them, if they can hear me, you know?” he further added. The singer lost his parents at a young age. His father passed away from kidney cancer when Warren was only 9 years old. In 2021, his mother passed away from liver and renal failure.
