Anbumani supporters protest against party MLA Arul

SALEM: More than 100 PMK workers, who are supporters of party leader Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, protested against Salem West MLA R Arul as he held a consultation meeting in the govt guest house in Attur on Tuesday ahead of the party general body meeting.

PMK founder Dr Ramadoss is scheduled to participate in the general body meeting in Salem on Oct 26.In the feud between Ramadoss and his son Anbumani, Arul supports the former. This has angered Anbumani supporters who, led by party eastern district secretary Jayaprakash, held a sit-in protest outside the guest house as Arul attended the consultation meeting. Police intervened and dispersed the protesters.Speaking to reporters, Jayaprakash said Arul was making hate remarks against Anbumani. "We will continue our protest until Arul stops making comments about Anbumani," he said.
