The Vissannapeta police launched a search for ‘Life is Beautiful’ CEO Shivani, who allegedly duped the public by promising jobs and good returns for their deposits.
Victims alleged that Shivani and her husband Durga Prasad (who ended his life) launched ‘Life is Beautiful’ firm two years ago in Vissannapeta in NTR district.
The couple assured to offer jobs to the members and good returns for their deposits. Durga Prasad and his wife allegedly collected about ₹20 crore from some thousands of people in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States, and closed the company a few days ago.
Unable to bear the financial problems, Durga Prasad, who was the managing director of the company, reportedly ended his life in October 2025.
“The accused opened LB Mart in Vijayawada. The MD and CEO said they have taken up some 200 projects at various places, and the family members of the depositors would be provided jobs in their projects,” the complainants alleged.
The victims lodged complaints with the officials, and the Vissannapeta police registered a case. “Special teams are making efforts to nab the accused who resorted to the fraud,” the police said on Tuesday (December 16, 2025).
