Arch Manning looked ready for a big year, but his first three games in 2025 have been bumpy. The Texas Longhorns quarterback opened with a 14-7 loss at No. 3 Ohio State on Aug. 30, where he completed 17 of 30 passes for 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

He rebounded with a big game at home against San José State on Sept. 6, throwing four touchdown passes and rushing for another. But on Sept. 13 at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, fans booed during a 27-10 win over UTEP after Manning completed only 11 of 25 passes. Through three games, he has six touchdowns and three interceptions.

He then threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns vs. San José State on Sept. 6. In the Sept. 13 game vs. UTEP he was 11-of-25 for 114 yards, with one touchdown and an interception.

The UTEP game included a long stretch of misses that drew loud boos from the home crowd at halftime. After that game Manning said, “All my life I’ve been an accurate passer. I’ve just got to get back to it.” Coach Steve Sarkisian and former Longhorn greats told reporters they still back him while he works through the rough patch.
