Big dawn raid in Nagpur: Changur Baba's close aide arrested after 2 years on the run

NAGPUR: A joint team of Nagpur Police, Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), and Nagpur ATS carried out a swift operation in Ashinagar in north Nagpur in the early hours of Saturday.A 40-year-old Idhu Islam, a key helper and money manager for self-styled preacher Changur Baba, was arrested at around 5am. The joint team had reached a narrow lane of Ashinagar and arrested their target, said sources. Pachpaoli police and other units of city cops were also involved. Islam had an arrest warrant against him, said sources. For more than two years, Uttar Pradesh police had been searching for him, but he always managed to escape.Changur Baba had a deep roots in Nagpur's open grounds many years ago.
