Biker Forcibly Kisses Woman In UP's Meerut In Broad Daylight, Video Goes Viral

A 25-year-old man has been arrested after he was caught on CCTV camera forcibly kissing a burqa-clad woman on a deserted street in the Lisari Gate area of Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut.

The incident occurred on May 20, when the woman was walking in the street alone. The man, identified as Mohd Suhail, was riding a motorcycle without a registered number plate, according to Times of India. He approached the woman, kissed her and fled the scene.

The woman was heard hurling explosives at the accused as he fled the area. The CCTV footage was widely circulated on social media, sparking outrage and concerns over women’s safety in the area.

Meerut police acted swiftly after the case came to their notice. Suhail was identified and arrested shortly, after which he apologised for his actions. SSP Meerut Vipin Tada said an FIR was lodged and Suhail will be sent to jail.

According to reports, Suhail hailed from Ahmednagar. A video emerged on social media, where he was seen holding his ears, barely able to walk, and saying, “I made a mistake, it won’t happen again. Please forgive me." He was presented before a city magistrate court and sent to judicial custody.

In an unrelated incident, a man was arrested in Meerut after a viral video showed him spitting on rotis while preparing them, police told news agency PTI. According to a Meerut district police spokesperson, a case was registered at the Jani station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
