Ranchi: BJP staged a dharna in front of Ranchi senior superintendent of police (SSP) office in collectorate to voice concern over the delay in tracing two children — Ansh and Anshika — while Ajsu-P supremo Sudesh Mahto met the affected family members to express dissatisfaction over the situation.Both the parties accused the police for being insensitive towards the issue, adding it was because the children are from poor family.Notably, the two children have gone missing from Dhurwa area of Ranchi city on Jan 2. Police are conducting inter-state operations to track them but have failed so far.A BJP team, led by Ranchi MLA C P Singh and Hatia MLA Navin Jaiswal, staged a two-hour dharna in front of SSP office demanding justice for the children and prevention of crimes in the state.In his address, Singh said, “It is shameful that the police are unable to trace the children while 12 days have passed. Administrative and the police officials should be more sensitive over the issue.”Jaiswal said that the demonstration was an appeal for justice to the children and their mother. He accused the police of delays in registering FIR and forming special investigation team adding it was due to weak financial background of the children.ADM law and order Rajeshwar Nath Alok and a strong contingent of police force was present at the site to ensure law and order. Barricades were also put on the roads leading to the collectorate.
