From chips to cars, AI dominates CES 2026 as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang takes centre stage

The world’s foremost technology event, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), opens this week with AI emerging as the overarching theme, mirroring its rapid expansion across consumer products, manufacturing, robotics, mobility, and industrial innovation.The CES 2026 will run through Jan 6-9, even as media previews begin on Jan 4 and Jan 5, bringing out technological innovations from across the world.The conference — powered by Consumer Technology Association (CTA) — will see discussions and conversations by some of the leading names in areas such as AI and quantum as well as robotics, digital health, gaming, and connected mobility.Among the showstoppers at the event is a session by Jensen Huang, the enigmatic founder and CEO of AI chipmaker Nvidia, who is scheduled to speak on Jan 5 where he is likely to talk about the company’s latest initiatives in AI and how its solutions are driving innovation across industries.“Nvidia is lighting up CES 2026 with the power of AI. From hands-on demos… to inspiring talks and an ecosystem of partners bringing breakthrough technologies to life… Experience cutting-edge AI, robotics, simulation, gaming, and content creation at the Nvidia Showcase with 20+ demos,” the company said while talking about its presence at the event.Companies such as Samsung, LG, Sony Honda Mobility, Hyundai, Lenovo, AMD, BMW, and Google are expected to showcase some of their cutting-edge innovations across consumer and enterprise products.

Also, the conference will feature AI innovations in areas such as audio and video; content and entertainment; digital health; enterprise; fintech; fitness; food tech; gaming and esports; space tech and robotics; home robots; vehicles and advanced mobility; and XR and spatial computing. Startups and innovations by some of the world’s youngest companies will also be a key highlight.Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang will deliver a keynote on “Smarter AI for All”, highlighting AI’s expanding impact on computing and enterprise applications.

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, is also slated to speak on how AI is transforming computing infrastructure and workloads. “Dr. Su will return to the CES keynote stage to highlight the AMD vision for delivering future AI solutions – from cloud to enterprise, edge and devices,” CES officials said.Other speakers include Roland Busch, the President and CEO of Siemens AG, and Joe Creed, the CEO of Caterpillar. They are expected to talk about industrial AI, and automation.“The world’s most innovative leaders, problem-solvers, and pioneers come together at CES,” said Gary Shapiro, CEO and Vice Chair of CTA.
