Boy breaks finger of left hand, hosp plasters right

Agra: In a case of alleged medical negligence at District Bagla Hospital in Hathras, doctors plastered the wrong hand of a four-year-old boy despite an X-ray confirming a fracture on the middle finger in the other.Chief medical superintendent Surya Prakash acknowledged the lapse, saying, “We are in touch with the family and have asked them to return so the fractured finger can be treated. A show-cause notice has been issued to the doctor concerned.”District magistrate Atul Vats has directed the health department to take appropriate action.According to the complaint, Harsh Kumar of Ahvaranpur village injured his finger while playing at home.
