Caught on camera: Spurned lover throws kerosene bombs at woman's home

A woman’s house in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore was targeted with kerosene bombs by a man after she allegedly rejected his love advances, police said. The attack triggered a fire that also spread to a scooter parked in the porch of the residence.

The accused, identified as Karthik, threw kerosene-filled bottles at the house on Sunday night.

According to police, the woman had stopped speaking to Karthik after learning that 31 cases were pending against him. He had also allegedly issued death threats to her before the attack.

CCTV footage from the area showed the bike catching fire as family members and neighbours rushed to douse the flames. Locals were also seen gathering at the spot following the incident.

Police said they are examining the CCTV footage and carrying out a detailed investigation into the case.
