Chinese business travellers were bound, assaulted and robbed at gunpoint in a nighttime raid on a guesthouse in Sector F-7/4 of the federal capital. The victims have accused the property owner of orchestrating the heist.

According to a First Information Report (FIR) lodged on May 22, 2026, at Kohsar Police Station, the incident took place at around 3:00am at the “Shasha (Xiaoxia)" guest house on Street 55, F-7/4.

The complainant, a Chinese national identified as Hansen, told police he had arrived in Islamabad from Lahore just hours earlier along with his friend, fellow Chinese citizen Sara Borouk. He stated that three armed men barged into his room, woke him at gunpoint, beat him with their weapons and tied his hands with plastic tie-clips.

The suspects allegedly looted 150,000 PKR in cash from Hansen before moving to the upper floors, where they targeted other occupants, including Borouk. The robbers systematically bound the Chinese guests and snatched high-end electronic devices, including an iPhone 14, an iPhone 13 Pro Max, a Samsung Note 10 Plus, a Vivo mobile phone and a laptop, along with an additional 15,000 PKR from Borouk’s room.

Police said the total value of the stolen cash and property is estimated at over 700,000 PKR. The assailants reportedly fled in a black getaway car.

Following the incident, the injured Chinese nationals were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital for medical checkups and treatment.

The victims have levelled serious allegations against the guest house management, expressing strong suspicions that the owner, identified as “Xiaoxia", acted as a facilitator and helped plan the robbery.

The Kohsar Police registered Case No. 268/26 under Sections 324 (attempted murder), 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death or hurt), 457 (nighttime house-trespass) and 114 (abetment) of the Pakistan Penal Code. An official investigation has been launched to trace the suspects and probe the alleged involvement of the property owner.

Sources said the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad has taken serious notice of the incident and lodged a protest with Pakistani authorities.
