Champions Boat League Season V to open with Kainakary race on Friday

A The first race of the Champions Boat League Season V (CBL-V), which coincides with the fifth Kainakary boat race, will be held on the Pampa river at Kainakary in Kuttanad, Alappuzha, on September 19. It will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas at 4 p.m. Heats will begin at 2.30 p.m. Nine snakeboats will compete in CBL-V. This season, the league will feature 14 races, concluding with the President’s Trophy on Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam on December 6.
