Commandant Suresh R. Kurup, who assumed the Command of the Indian Coast Guard Station at Vizhinjam recently, has said that he will give thrust to operational effectiveness and strengthening of coastal security in the region. Infrastructure expansion also will be a key area of focus, he was quoted as saying in an official statement. Commandant Suresh R. Kurup was commissioned into the Coast Guard in 1994. He hails from Pandalam. A graduate in Physics, he also holds an MBA degree from ICFAI University, Hyderabad.
