Cory Trice Jr has a confident response to rematch with Bengals

In the final week of the 2024 season, Cory Trice Jr. had to face numerous challenges. The second-year cornerback had to go one-on-one against Cincinnati Bengals All-Pro receiver Ja'Marr Chase, and the result was not favourable for Cory.

But the athlete isn’t ready to let his performance define him. Cory Trice Jr.'s fantastic coverage abilities over the past two weeks have garnered appreciation recently.Trice filled in for veteran CB Donte Jackson, who could not play due to a back injury, and naturally, Chase took the opportunity to take the lead and help his team. Chase recorded 10 catches for 96 yards and scored Cincinnati’s only touchdown of the game.

With the Bengals and Steelers set to face off twice more in the 2025 season as division foes, Trice is sure about his own prowess.

"I'm used to letting up nothing," Trice told sports journalist Nick Farabaugh. "What happened there, it will never happen again." It’s easy to see that Cory Trice Jr. has the confidence that could shape him into a standout cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers and can be a key asset for his team.

However, the Steelers have other issues on the horizon that need fixing, especially vis-à-vis quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have waited on Rodgers this offseason, and that will likely continue a little while longer, but insiders believe the team brass has agreed on a deadline “If Rodgers is not there by the time they go to training camp in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, [in] late July, then I think that’s when the Steelers start to look at other options,” Dan Graziano said on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” “As of now, we are just waiting on Aaron Rodgers.”
