Court condoles 25 deaths in Birch inferno

The court, in its orders, expressed condolences to victims of the fire at Birch by Romeo Lane club. “At the very outset, it is necessary to acknowledge the grave and tragic incident that occurred at the Birch nightclub at Arpora, which resulted in the loss of 25 precious human lives and caused serious injuries to several persons,” stated additional sessions judge North Goa, Dvijple V Patkar.“The incident sent shockwaves through the community and left families irreversibly scarred by bereavement, pain, and trauma. The court expresses its profound sympathy and condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, and its deep concern for those who sustained injuries and continue to suffer the physical and emotional consequences of this unfortunate tragedy,” the court added.
