CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute chief scientist M. Ram Mohan has been selected for the National Geoscience Award – 2024, conferred by the Ministry of Mines, recognising his contributions to the field of geochemistry. With an academic foundation from Osmania University (B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D), Dr. Mohan’s research has significantly advanced geoscience, particularly in understanding Archean crustal growth processes, gold metallogeny, and the evolution of the Indian Shield. The distinguished scientist is a Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences and has been honored with the IGU Krishnan Gold Medal, BOYSCAST Fellowship of DST (Govt. of India), and CSIR-Raman Research Fellowship, said a press release.
