The Minister wanted special attention to be paid to the Chejerla, Ananta Sagaram and Sangam mandals, which are abutting the Penna River and hence prone to breaches. He also asked the secretariats in the villages close to Beerapogu, Boggeru streams and Penna river to keep essential commodities ready for distribution in the relief camps, if required.

The Minister inaugurated a blood donation camp at Sangam mandal of his Atmakur constituency on Sunday (October 26, 2025), when he called the police department to stay prepared to face any exigency during the cyclone. In the same vein, he directed the Village Revenue Officers (VROs) to stay put in the villages assigned to them and be available to the public

“Doctors and staff at all the government hospitals, including the District Hospital at Atmakur, should be readily available at their respective places of duty to handle emergency cases. Similarly, the irrigation officials should constantly monitor the flow into and out of the water tanks as well as the streams”, Mr. Reddy noted.

On the safety of the residential school inmates, the Minister suggested that the students stay within the precincts of their hostels for the next two days and not embark on any travel to their homes

He congratulated the cops for coming forward to donate blood in large quantities and appealed to the general public to follow suit.
