Fire breaks out at godown in Delhi's Keshavpuram; 2 dead

NEW DELHI: Two people lost their lives after a fire broke out at a godown in the Keshavpuram area of Northwest Delhi during the early hours of Tuesday.According to officials, the incident was reported to the fire department at around 1.25 am, following which multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot.Fire officials said that a total of 54 firefighters were deployed to control the blaze, which had spread rapidly due to the presence of combustible materials stored inside the godown. Firefighting teams faced significant challenges as thick smoke and intense flames hampered rescue and search operations.After the fire was brought under control, a thorough search of the premises was conducted, during which two bodies were recovered from inside the godown. The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed so far.
