Five arrested in Hazaribag for Rs 2.80 lakh petrol pump heist

Hazaribag: Five persons have been arrested in connection with loot of Rs 2.80 lakh cash from the manager of the petrol pump in Khirgaon on the night of August 15, police said on Wednesday.Hazaribag SP Anjani Anjan said that the petrol pump manager was going to deposit the sale amount at the owner’s house when five persons chased him from behind, and looted cash. “The victim also suffered injuries due to severe fall,” he said.“Police have also recovered a pistol of 7.65mm, revolver of 7.6mm, and two live cartridges from their possession besides Rs 50,000 cash. All were produced in court on Wednesday and sent to jail,” the SP added.
