Former Hospital Worker Arrested For Molesting Minor Girl In Kolkata

An ex-staff of Sambhu Nath Pandit Hospital, was arrested in Kolkata for allegedly molesting a minor girl in the OPD. He will appear before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore.

A former hospital staff member has been arrested in Kolkata for allegedly molesting a minor girl inside the outpatient department (OPD) of a city hospital. Police said the incident occurred on Wednesday when the girl had gone to the hospital for consultation.

The accused has been identified as Amit Mallick, 34, a former Group D employee of Sambhu Nath Pandit Hospital. He was arrested during a raid conducted under the jurisdiction of the Pragati Maidan Police Station.

Police said they received information from the SSKM Hospital Out Post regarding the alleged offence. Officers subsequently contacted the victim, recorded her statement, and registered a case.

According to police sources, Mallick was apprehended on October 22, 2025, at around 9:40 p.m. He is scheduled to be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore (South 24 Parganas), on Thursday.
