Panic gripped Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh after a gas leak was allegedly reported from an operational oil well of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation on Monday.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred when production at the well suddenly halted and workover rig operations were underway. During the process, a large volume of gas mixed with crude oil reportedly gushed out with force, spreading rapidly towards the village.
