After busy and fun-filled Christmas and New Year celebrations, Antonio Felix da Costa is back in race mode as he gears up for Formula E Season 12, which began last month in Sao Paulo.

Ahead of the upcoming Mexico City E-Prix, the Jaguar TCS Racing driver reunited with friends for a karting session to shake off the festive break. Da Costa was joined by F1 2026 rookie Arvid Lindblad, racers Bernardo Sousa and Lourenco Beirao da Veiga, along with several Portuguese friends. Photos and videos from the day showed the group having plenty of fun while getting back into the racing rhythm ahead of the season’s next round.

The Portuguese driver shared a group picture on his Instagram Stories featuring Red Bull Junior Arvid Lindblad, who is set to make his Formula 1 debut with Racing Bulls, alongside Sousa, Beirao da Veiga, footballers Frederico Duarte and Lucas Araujo, and others at the karting arena. The post was captioned: “Getting the Christmas rust off.”

Da Costa also shared videos from the karting action, highlighting a mix of seasoned racers and younger talents on track.

Posting a clip with Lindblad, he wrote: “Sunset drives with Arvid Lindblad.”

Antonio Felix da Costa’s New Year break after Sao Paulo E-Prix

During the holiday break, Antonio Felix da Costa celebrated Christmas and New Year with his family and close friends. He shared glimpses from family gatherings with wife Ines Castro, and the couple rang in the New Year at a Portuguese spot, dressed in black for the occasion.The Jaguar TCS Racing driver will now head to Mexico City for Round 2 of the Formula E season.

While he has never won the Mexico City E-Prix, Da Costa will be keen to change that this year. He finished second there last season and has also stood on the podium in 2019 and 2020. Season 12 marks his first campaign with Jaguar after switching from Porsche following the conclusion of Formula E Season 11.However, the new Formula E season got off to a tumultuous start for Da Costa. At the Sao Paulo E-Prix, he was hit by Cupra Kiro rookie Josep “Pepe” Martí.
