Giannis Antetokounmpo won the bronze medal while playing for his home country, Greece, in the EuroBasket 2025 tournament. The Milwaukee Bucks star put on a great show in the Greece vs Finland bronze medal game, and cheering him on with love and strength from the stands was his wife, Mariah Antetokounmpo.
She later penned a powerful note celebrating his achievement, assuring him that he could play in peace while she held down the fort at home. Mariah also reflected on the sacrifices they made as a couple during his basketball journey.

Mariah Antetokounmpo took to Instagram after her husband Giannis Antetokounmpo led Greece to victory over Finland. She shared a heartfelt note alongside a few pictures from her and their children’s appearance at the Greece vs Finland EuroBasket match.
The first picture captured the couple sharing a kiss, followed by a group photo with their kids at the stadium. Another photo showed Mariah in the background as Giannis proudly wore his bronze medal around his neck.Praising Giannis for his medal win, Mariah wrote, “Let me brag for one second… my man, my man, my man! Everything earned, nothing given! You deserve all of this greatness and more!”
Pledging her unwavering support, she added, “During this EuroBasket we celebrated our wedding anniversary, first day of school, and our beautiful daughter’s second birthday from a distance. But every single sacrifice is worth it to see you accomplish your dreams. I promise to be by your side through it all, my love. Keep going, I’m right here with you. We aren’t done yet!”

Just hours before posting her tribute to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mariah shared a sweet birthday post for their daughter Eva, who turned two on Sunday.
Posting a series of candid pictures, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Eva… HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY to you! To my birthday-loving, kitty cat-obsessed, foodie girl—we love you so much, our little princess.”
Giannis and Mariah are parents to four children, with their youngest, Aria, just three months old. Their family includes sons Liam (5) and Maverick (4), and daughters Eva (2) and Aria (3 months).

Giannis Antetokounmpo called his bronze medal win at EuroBasket the greatest achievement of his life. He said, “We did it. This is probably one of the biggest accomplishments I’ve ever achieved as an athlete. I know I’ve won an NBA championship, but there’s no feeling like representing your national team and representing 12 million people who breathe and live for this team. This is probably the greatest accomplishment so far in my life.
