The production designer of the Golden Globes 2026, Jitter Garcia, told Los Angeles magazine that the team wanted to feel the set like a motion and not just a space for posing.

They indeed made the set look almost like a runway.

She also said, “We were very intentional about the measurements of the steps. We were thinking about the skirts, the trains, and the heels. And then we looked at it again and thought it might not read correctly on camera. So we redid the whole thing.” Garcia also added that many stylists of A-list actors and actresses were invited for a preview of the new space ahead of the big day.
