Govt. committed to welfare of Christians, says A.P. CM Naidu

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu participated in the ‘Semi-Christmas’ celebrations organised by the government here on Monday (December 22, 2025). 

On the occasion, he announced that monthly honorariums for December 2024 - November 2025 amounted to ₹51 crore would be remitted into the bank accounts of 8,427 pastors on December 24. A sum of ₹30 crore was disbursed for May - November 2024.

He called upon everyone to remember the sacrifices of Jesus Christ and follow the path shown by Him, and said that the government was committed to the welfare of Christians. The Chief Minister said that the Christian organisations were rendering commendable services to the needy, and transforming the lives of millions through their activities.

Minister for Minorities’ Welfare N. Md. Farooq, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and MLA Gadde Rammohan were among those present.
