Govt. gives Group-II post to son of slain former MLA

On compassionate grounds, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed Siveri Suresh Kumar, son of Siveri Soma, former MLA, who was killed in extremist violence in 2018.

G. Sai Prasad, Special Chief Secretary, issued a G.O. (Ms. No 399) on Friday appointing Mr. Suresh Kumar as Deputy Tahsildar in Zone-1 on compassionate grounds, in relaxation of the relevant rules.

Maoists had killed then sitting MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and the former MLA in Araku Valley. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had then offered a Cabinet berth to Sarveswara Rao's son at that time. Now, the government offered Group-II post to Mr. Suresh Kumar.
