Graham Greene, the Oscar-nominated actor who starred in the film ‘Dances with Wolves,’ has passed away at the age of 73 in Stratford, Ontario, after battling through prolonged illness. The actor’s agent, Michael Greene, revealed natural causes as the reason of his demise. However, the details about the demise or the illness have not been made public yet.

“It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of award-winning, legendary Canadian actor Graham Greene,” Gerry Jordon said, as per CBC report. The manager revealed that Greene passed away of natural causes, adding that the details regarding the remembrance ceremony would be shared soon in the coming days. “He was a great man of morals, ethics, and character, and will be eternally missed,” Graham Greene’s agent said in the statement, according to Deadline, and continued, “You are finally free.

Graham Greene, born on June 22, 1952, in Ontario, Canada, on Six Nations Reserve, was a trailblazing actor who opened the gates for many indigenous actors. He worked as a steelman, draftsman, and welder before working on the stage. Thereafter, he began performing professionally on the stage in the ‘70s.

He debuted in the television series ‘The Great Detectives’ in 1979 with an appearance in an episode, and later, entered the film industry with a debut in ‘Running Brave’ in 1983.

After receiving an Academy nomination for Kevin Costner’s ‘Dances with Wolves’ for Best Supporting Actor, he established himself well in the industry.
