The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to come up with a fresh plan of action for counting at Parakamani, saying that its (TTD) instructions are silent about the earlier observations of the court with regard to frisking of devotees at the time of counting, arrangement of tables etc.

Also, the court gave liberty to the CID to take action against the police officers who are allegedly involved in the conspiracy (theft of foreign currency) as per the TTD report, and posted the matter for further hearing on January 8 upon a submission by the counsel for TTD that he would revert after consulting the executive officer.
