Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Mamata Banerjee led a high-voltage protest in Kolkata against the ruling dispensation over attacks on party leaders, particularly Abhishek Banerjee in Sonarpur.

Mamata Banerjee led the protest march in Rashmoni Avenue near Esplanade with Abhishek Banerjee and Kalyan Banerjee also present, despite not receiving permission from the police. High drama ensued at the protest site as scuffles broke out between the police and protesters.
