History-sheeter arrested in attempt to murder case

The Government Railway Police (GRP) in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Kacheguda arrested a notorious history-sheeter, Mohd. Abdul Sohail, on Wednesday, June 18, in connection with an attempted murder case.

According to police, Sohail, along with his associates, had intercepted a 20-year-old, Shaik Qadeer, at Yakutpura Railway Station while he was crossing from platform number 2 to platform number 1. The group allegedly demanded money from Qadeer, and when he refused, Sohail pulled out a knife and stabbed him, causing severe bleeding injuries. The victim was rushed to Osmania General Hospital. The police said efforts are underway to trace two of Sohail’s accomplices identified as Mudassir and Ayan. Further investigation is underway.

The police confirmed that the 23-year-old, a resident of Chowni, Madannapet, is a listed history-sheeter at the Madannapet Police Station and has been previously involved in at least seven other criminal cases.
