The fifth instalment in the popular Housefull franchise is all set for release on June 6, and advance bookings for the film suggest a strong opening for one of Bollywood’s most celebrated franchises.Advance booking for 'Housefull 5'Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 has already recorded Rs 2.99 crore in advance ticket sales across India, according to Sacnilk. The film has so far sold nearly 100588 tickets for over 13876 scheduled shows as of Wednesday evening (June 4). With block seats it would be Rs 7.16 crore.

In comparison to Akshay Kumar’s previous release, 'Kesari Chapter 2', which secured Rs 1.84 crore in advance bookings, 'Housefull 5' has demonstrated a stronger performance in terms of pre-release sales.The previous instalment, 'Housefull 4', which released during the Diwali weekend in 2019, opened to Rs 8 crore in advance bookings and went on to earn over Rs 19 crore net on its first day.About Houseful 5'Housefull 5' is a comedy-mystery set aboard a luxury cruise ship and promises a unique narrative twist — it will feature two alternate endings with different murderers, a first for the franchise. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever.
The earlier films in the franchise have collectively grossed over Rs 788 crore worldwide, with the fourth instalment alone contributing Rs 296 crore globally.Akshay Kumar's work frontOn the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in 'Hera Pheri 3', and he is also set to play a pivotal role in Vishnu Manchu’s 'Kannappa' alongside Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal.
