The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out a high-intensity joint exercise with the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) over the Indian Ocean Region on Tuesday (October 14, 2025).

The drill featured IAF Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS, and AEW&C aircraft operating alongside Royal Navy F-35B fighter jets from HMS Prince of Wales.

The exercise aimed to enhance interoperability, mutual trust, and operational coordination between the two forces, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional security and stability.

Indian Air Force posted on X: On 14 Oct 25, IAF Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS & AEW&C aircraft joined Royal Navy F-35Bs from HMS Prince of Wales for a joint exercise over the Indian Ocean Region. The training strengthened interoperability, mutual trust, and collective commitment to regional stability.

This air exercise followed the successful completion of the Sea Phase of the bilateral maritime exercise KONKAN 25 between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy on October 8. During KONKAN 25, both navies executed a wide range of complex maritime operations, including tactical air warfare, air defence, surface and anti-submarine warfare, and underway replenishment.
