We are less than a week away from the iPhone 17 launch and yet another leak is making headlines. This time around the pricing of the 2025 iPhone lineup. In what appears to be a good news for Apple news, investment bank JPMorgan has projected that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series will see almost no price increases compared to last year’s models. In a research note, the bank estimates that only the Pro variant is likely to cost more. For those Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup on September 9 at the ‘Awe Dropping’ event. The series is likely to offer four models – iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and a slim model likely to be called iPhone 17 Air.
Apple iPhone 17 series price
According to JP Morgan research note, the expected prices of upcoming iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air are:
- iPhone 17 at $799
- iPhone 17 Air at $899–949
- iPhone 17 Pro at $1,099
- iPhone 17 Pro Max at $1,199
Among these, the iPhone 17 Pro is the only model confirmed to see a higher price tag. However, the model is rumoured to start with 256GB of storage instead of 128GB, making the increase effectively tied to more memory. To compare, the current iPhone 16 Pro model was launched at $999 (starting price) last year. The iPhone 17 Air, replacing the Plus model, is the biggest uncertainty. Analysts believe its ultra-thin design could justify a $50 jump, though it may also debut at the same $899 starting price as its predecessor. If JPMorgan’s forecast holds true, Apple may keep pricing largely unchanged from the iPhone 16 lineup, with only the Pro model adjusted for storage tiers. The move could help Apple maintain strong demand amid a competitive smartphone market.
