Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, Iran has executed a man accused of spying for Israel, the judiciary’s Mizan news agency reported.

The man has been identified as Kurosh Keyvani. Authorities said he was convicted of providing images and sensitive information about key locations in Iran to Israel’s spy agency, Mossad.

Iran, which has long been engaged in a covert conflict with Israel, has in recent years carried out multiple executions of individuals accused of having links to Mossad or aiding its activities within the country.
