Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu has launched a scathing attack on YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of inciting violence and attempting to destabilise the State.
Referring to Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent controversial statements, Mr. Atchannaidu said on Friday that they amounted to “an outright assault on democracy” and reflected a “loss of mental balance” following the YSRCP’s defeat in the 2024 elections.
The Minister alleged that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, frustrated by the coalition government’s developmental strides and rising investments under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was spreading misinformation and backing individuals accused of corruption and indecency. “Mr. Jagan is supporting those who use vulgar language against women MLAs and is trying to provoke unrest for political survival,” he alleged.
Mr. Atchannaidu warned that any attempt to destabilise the State would be met with strong legal action, and asserted that public trust remained firmly with the ruling coalition.
