External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday (January 13, 2026) held a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, focusing on cooperation in areas of trade, critical minerals, nuclear energy and defence.

Mr. Jaishankar said he and Mr. Rubio agreed to remain in touch on these issues.
