After 22 days, it has amassed Rs180.81 crore and is eyeing Housefull 5's current record of Rs183.38 crore. This cinematic marvel is a crowd-pleaser, especially on weekends, with expectations soaring that it will soon cross the Rs185 crore threshold.

James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash is on the brink of another milestone in India. After 22 days in theatres, the film has collected an impressive Rs180.81 crore (all languages), positioning it just Rs 2.57 crore away from becoming the 10th biggest hit of 2025.

The spot is currently held by Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5, which finished its domestic run at Rs183.38 crore.While the year has seen several tentpoles from multiple industries, Fire and Ash remains the only Hollywood title in the Top 15, underlining the continued strength of the Avatar brand across India. With the film still drawing steady footfalls during weekends and holding well in premium formats, trade circles expect it to comfortably cross the Rs 185 crore mark before its run winds down.The film opened strongly, collecting Rs 19 crore on Day 1, led by English and Hindi formats. Day 2 (Rs 22.5 crore) and Day 3 (Rs 25.75 crore) showcased the brand pull of the series in the country thus taking the weekend total to nearly Rs 70 crore. By the end of Week 1, Fire and Ash had amassed Rs 109.5 crore in its first week. By Day 22, the cumulative figure stood at Rs 180.9 crore.With over Rs 180 crore already in the bank and lessened competition from Dhurandhar and The Raja Saab the film is looking primed to advantage and enter the top 10 biggest hits of India for films released in 2025.It has already entered the Top 10 list of Hollywood's biggest hits in India and is now chasing The Jungle Book for the 5th spot.
